Yes!! The long awaited new entry for our W300 Blog!!!

Sorry guys.. was rather busy with work and stuff and was unable to add new entries in my company's com. (lousy)

Anyway I am very happy to quit from my previous job, cos I really wanna go into teaching line. So if you have any tuition assignments lobangs pls let me know. Willing to teach up to upper secondary Physics.

Meanwhile, hope to spend time with you guys, though I am not exactly THAT free but well for you guys I will try.. haha.. but I welcome all of you to press in my life.

Some updates..
Tuesday Prayer Mtg is ON at CHC. Pls come and pray for our services, our CG and our own personal revival.

CGM is still ON - Saturday 2pm. Venue KIV. Let's invite all our friends to come. We must breakthru the 20 mark!!

Alright. More updates very soon. Me need to recuperate from fatigue and other things that are happening in my life and CG. So keep me in prayers!! Feel free to share with me and remember that I love you guys!

Woohoo!! It's August!!
How many of know that this month is gonna be super great and exciting??

2. Festival of Praise (Fri - Sun)
- Time: 730pm
- Venue: Singapore Indoor Stadium
- There will be pre-svc dinner/lunch @ suntec ~ 4pm (take bus 16 to SIS ard 6pm)

3. 16th Anniversay CHC Service
- Time: 11am (reach by 9am - those queuing up)
- Venue: Singapore Indoor Stadium
- There will an outing aft service. (Pending)

The above 2 events are for us to really go out to invite and go the extra mile to bring in the souls to be saved. Pastor is going to preach a word directly to touch the hearts of the people without God. I believe this is golden opportunity for tremendous breakthrough in the CG.
- Kayaking on the 7th Aug after 16th Anniversary Service.
Andre + the outing team will arrange and confirm with us by this weekend. wooooo~
- Evangelistic BBQ+ Games 9th August @ Yvonne's place
This is to invite friends that came over the weekend to join us for BBQ. Retention & Integration time!
- Project Super Schools on the 10th August @ YMCA
Fuhua Secondary people to bring all their Fuhua Secondary Friends for a time of word of God and competition against 8 other Secondary schools.
Though the CG is not directly involved, but let's pray all of Yvonne, Huiyun and Jiasheng's friends will turn up and be saved/integrated. These are people who may have come for FOP before so this will be a good way to integrate them.
- Special Theme CGM + Svc to invite the friends back again.
Any creative, fun ideas do contribute!

Phew!! Fierce, Intense, and super exciting. I can feel revival+breakthrough in my fingers. We are going to meet up to pray and pray. We are going to cry out for revival until it comes.
Its happening, its coming. With all my heart, I believe this coming FOP/16th Anniv is gonna be a major explosion and a confirmation of multiplication in W300!!

Talked to Calvin, and we both have a vision of 22 members by end of August but just yesterday I prayed and I want to believe for 25 members!! It can be done and I refused to allow circumstances or situations to deter my faith.
Let our experiences rise to the level of our faith!

A Love Story

He sits by himself at a table for two.
The uniformed waiter returns to his side and asks, "Would you like to go ahead and order, sir?" The man has, after all, been waiting since 7pm-- almost half an hour.
"No, thank you," the man smiles. "I'll wait for her a while longer. How about some more coffee?"
"Certainly, sir."
The man sits, eyes gazing straight through the flowered centerpiece. He is dressed in sport coat and tie. His dark brown hair is neatly combed, but one stray lock insists on dropping to his forehead. The scent of his cologne adds to his clean cut image. He is dressed up enough to make a companion feel important, respected, loved. Yet he is not so formal as to make one uncomfortable. It seems that he has taken every precaution to make others feel at ease with him.
Still, he sits alone.
The waiter returns to fill the man's coffee cup. "Is there anything else I can get for you, sir?"
"No, thank you."
The waiter remains standing at the table. Something tugs at his curiosity. "I don't mean to pry, but..." His voice trails off. This line of conversation could jeopardize his tip.
"Go ahead," the man encourages. His is strong, yet sensitive, inviting conversation.
"Why do you bother waiting for her?" the waiter finally blurts out. This man has been at the restaurant other evenings, always patiently alone.
Says the man quietly, "Because she needs me."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Well, sir, no offense, but assuming that she needs you, she sure isn't acting much like it. She's stood you up three times just this week."
The man winces, and looks down at the table. "Yes, I know."
"Then why do you still come here and wait?"
"Cassie said that she would be here."
"She's said that before," the waiter protests. "I wouldn't put up with it. Why do you?"
Now the man looks up, smiles at the waiter, and says simply, "Because I love her."

The waiter walks away, wondering how one could love a girl who stands him up three times a week. The man must be crazy, he decides. Across the room, he turns to look at the man again. The man slowly pours cream into his coffee. He twirls his spoon between his fingers a few times before stirring sweetener into his cup. After staring for a moment into the liquid, the man brings the cup to his mouth and sips, silently watching those around him. He doesn't look crazy, the waiter admits. Maybe the girl has qualities that I don't know about. Or maybe the man's love is stronger than most.

The man watches the waiter, wonders if he's ever been stood up. The man has, many times. But he still can't get used to it. Each time, it hurts. He's looked forward to this evening all day.
He has many things, exciting things, to tell Cassie. But, more importantly, he wants to hear Cassie's voice. He wants her to tell him all about her day, her triumphs, her defeats....anything, really. He has tried so many times to show Cassie how much he loves her. He'd just like to know that she cares for him, too. He sips sporadically at the coffee, and loses himself in thought, knowing that Cassie is late, but still hoping that she will arrive.
The clock says nine-thirty when the waiter returns to the man's table. "Is there anything I can get for you?"
The still empty chair stabs at the man. "No, I think that will be all for tonight. May I have the check please?"
"Yes, sir."
When the waiter leaves, the man picks up the check. He pulls out his wallet and signs. He has enough money to have given Cassie a feast. But he takes out only enough to pay for his five cups of coffee and the tip. Why do you do this, Cassie, his mind cries as he gets up from the table.
"Good-bye," the waiter says, as the man walks towards the door.
"Good night. Thank you for your service."
"You're welcome, sir," says the waiter softly, for he sees the hurt in the man's eyes that his smile doesn't hide.
He stops at the front and makes reservations for tomorrow. Maybe Cassie will be able to make it, he thinks.
"Seven o'clock tomorrow for party of two?" the hostess confirms.
"That's right," the man replies.
"Do you think she'll come??" asks the hostess. She doesn't mean to be rude, but she has watched the man many times alone at his table for two.
"Someday, yes. And I will be waiting for her." The man buttons his overcoat and walks out of the restaurant, alone. His shoulders are hunched, but through the windows the hostess can only guess whether they are hunched against the wind or against the man's hurt.

As the man turns toward home, Cassie turns into bed. She is tired after an evening out with friends. As she reaches toward her night stand to set the alarm, she sees the note that she scribbled to herself last night.
"7pm," it says. "Spend some time in prayer." Darn, she thinks. She forgot again. She feels a twinge of guilt, but quickly pushes it aside. She needed that time with her friends. And now she needs her sleep. She can pray tomorrow night. Jesus will forgive her.
And she's sure he doesn't mind.

Have you ever been stood up? Have you waited for someone/something to happen that it hurts? Have you see a romantic movie where you see someone being stood up by the one he/she loves that you yourself shed a tear or two?
The truth is we often do that to our Lord without realizing that we are hurting our dear Lord.
Yes, our God has feelings too, even though He is our Almighty God.
He loves us very very deeply.. thats why He chose to bear the hurts, bear the disappointments.. and bear the Cross for us.

The Right thing @ the Wrong time is still the Wrong thing

BGR, having relationships nowadays are very common and if you all tell me you don't have any attraction for the opposite sex, I'll say you are lying! (mayb except for Yvonne..lol)
Therefore instead of hiding/running away from this topic, we should be more knowledgable and of coz more accountable when comes to handling this issue. Below is an article that I read online that I feel is very useful and inspiring. Pls take your time to read it.

The Right thing @ the Wrong time is still the Wrong thing

We can only determine the appropriate time to pursue romance when we understand God's purpose for singleness and trust His timing for relationships.
Modern culture thrives on immediate satisfaction to our desire (follow your heart etc), but God's Word teaches that there are appointed seasons for everything in our lives, including relationships.

Three principles are given to help adjust wrong attitudes toward the timing of relationships:
1. The right thing at the wrong time is the wrong thing. A good thing taken out of its appropriate season can actually be destructive.
2. We don't need to shop for something we can't afford. Before two people are ready for the responsibility of commitment, they should content themselves with friendship and wait for romance and intimacy.
3. Any season of singleness is a gift from God. God has created this season as an unparalleled opportunity for growth and service. We shouldn't let it slip by.

Waiting for God's timing requires trust in God's goodness. We develop patience as we trust that God denies us good things in the present only because He has something better for us in the future. Waiting for God's timing also requires strength. This strength comes from God alone. His strength and grace will sustain us through any circumstance.

True Contentment
That was the apostle Paul's secret. In Philippians 4:11-13, he wrote, "I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength."

For Paul, the knowledge that God is sovereign and will sustain those who trust Him was the secret to contentment. Apply it to your situation. Are you content even if a relationship is something you have to wait months or years for? Do you believe that the "everything" God's strength will help you do includes waiting on His timing for romance? Do you believe that God's strength can meet you in your present circumstances and help you be obedient right where you are? If you can, then you've found the secret to contentment-something that no one can take from you.

Some notes from me: This is very true, because I have come across many so called right guys but they came @ the wrong time and so I have to choose if I want to go ahead with the relationship and of coz I choose to wait... and God always reveal that in the end it was not to be. From these experiences I learnt that God indeed want the best for me, and if I am willing to be patient and trust in Him, God will bless me with the best guy I can ever have instead of some tom, dick or harry (oops..lol)
Many people are amazed that I managed to stay single for almost 4 years (given my 'old' age) but while it is not easy in the natural, in my heart i have that true contentment in God that no matter what the outcome, it will be the best for me. Therefore I will not want to even consider anyone that is not the best for me.

So young people of W300, learn to trust in God in every area. Don't be too caught up with heat or passion that you lose your mind.

- Meeting members (who can avail themselves) ard 730pm on FRIDAY (place not confirm but west area) to talk about certain issues of the CG. Do try to make it. Attendance to confirm asap.

-Calvin's drama team will start this week 5 mins after CGM.

-To promote HEALTHY LIVING & GOOD SHAPE, I finally decided to go GYM after CGM this week (aft drama+BS with Jia)
Encourage all of you to join me... yups.. :)

Dear members of W300,

Thanks for all the care and concern. Received quite a number of smses from people who are concerned about my well-being. Just wanna say I love you all very much! :)

Feeling a lit better now, got up of bed and start to blog. (since I told you peeps I will share some of my tots on the blog, here it goes!) Been thinking a lot about the CG, quite burden about certain issues, esp the coming arise and build.

Most of you are very young in the Lord, many of whom has not participate in such an event before (or know very little about it)
But its very important that you are not ignorant of the things of God and not go through arise and build as if its just a fund-raising programme for the church. It's not about building buildings, its always about building lives. Building YOUR life and my life.

Having said much, its time to put aside our "hype", and get into serious business with God.
We are going to pray like never before, fast like never before, read the bible, serve in ministry, reach out and bring friends like never before.
Most of you are going to help me more and more in the CG, many of you will be raise up to be leaders in the church, all of you are going to be extremely successful in your school and workplace. In short, we are all going to be the head and not the tail Amen?

But you know rising up for God also means one more thing... more advarsaries in your life, more challenges, so you cannot afford to take things easy. There is absolutely no room for spiritual laziness and complacency. If you don't get on with the flow (of God), you will bow out in defeat.
When I formally took over this group (ard Jan), the vision I have for this CG never change til now - that not only will we grow in quantity, we will grow in quality, grow in strength and glory. Not just one or two members, but I expect much from everyone. So...

Time to put aside childish things, time to be serious for God.

Commencing NEXT Saturday 30th July 2005... with Team A performing "The Prodigal Son" [Note changes...due to some people not being able to make it for CGM]

Team A: Calvin, Benjamin, Huiyun and Yinhui
Team B: Felix, Yvonne, Jiasheng and Xinyi [date kiv]
Team C: Joachim, Jason, Sarah and Andre [date kiv]
Team D: Bernard, Pierson, Steven and Ze Chen [date kiv]

Members that aren’t in the teams usually cannot attend own cg. But in any case they can, they will join the team that is going to perform on that cg they can attend.
* Members in bold are to take note of the details.

The scoring system is as follows..
- Revelation/Moral of the Story (is it being portrayed effectively, relervantly, impacting?) = 30
- Creativity (The way you organize the play, props etc) = 20
- Acting Skills = 20
- Entertainment = 20
- Unity/Teamwork = 10

The Three Trees

Once upon a mountain top, three little trees stood and dreamed of what they wanted to become when they grew up.
The first little tree looked up at the stars and said: "I want to hold treasure. I want to be covered with gold and filled with precious stones. I’ll be the most beautiful treasure chest in the world!"

The second little tree looked out at the small stream trickling by on its way to the ocean. "I want to be traveling mighty waters and carrying powerful kings. I’ll be the strongest ship in the world!"

The third little tree looked down into the valley below where busy men and women worked in a busy town. "I don’t want to leave the mountain top at all. I want to grow so tall that when people stop to look at me, they’ll raise their eyes to heaven and think of God. I will be the tallest tree in the world."

Years passed. The rain came, the sun shone, and the little trees grew tall. One day three woodcutters climbed the mountain.
The first woodcutter looked at the first tree and said, "This tree is beautiful. It is perfect for me." With a swoop of his shining axe, the first tree fell.
"Now I shall be made into a beautiful chest. I shall hold wonderful treasure!"the first tree said.
The second woodcutter looked at the second tree and said, "This tree is strong. It is perfect for me." With a swoop of his shining axe, the second tree fell.
"Now I shall sail mighty waters!" thought the second tree. "I shall be a strong ship for mighty kings!"
The third tree felt her heart sink when the last woodcutter looked her way. She stood straight and tall and pointed bravely to heaven.
But the woodcutter never even looked up. "Any kind of tree will do for me," he muttered. With a swoop of his shining axe, the third tree fell.

The first tree rejoiced when the woodcutter brought her to a carpenter’s shop. But the carpenter fashioned the tree into a feedbox for animals.
The once beautiful tree was not covered with gold, nor with treasure. She was coated with sawdust and filled with hay for hungry farm animals.
The second tree smiled when the woodcutter took her to a shipyard, but no mighty sailing ship was made that day. Instead, the once strong tree was hammered and sawed into a simple fishing boat. She was too small and too weak to sail on an ocean, or even a river; instead, she was taken to a little lake.
The third tree was confused when the woodcutter cut her into strong beams and left her in a lumberyard.
"What happened?" the once tall tree wondered. “All I ever wanted was to stay on the mountain top and point to God...”

Many, many days and night passed. The three trees nearly forgot their dreams.
But one night, golden starlight poured over the first tree as a young woman placed her newborn baby in the feedbox.
"I wish I could make a cradle for him," her husband whispered.
The mother squeezed his hand and smiled as the starlight shone on the smooth and the sturdy wood. "This manger is beautiful," she said.
And suddenly the first tree knew he was holding the greatest treasure in the world.

One evening a tired traveler and his friends crowded into the old fishing boat. The traveler fell asleep as the second tree quietly sailed out into the lake.
Soon a thundering and thrashing storm arose. The little tree shuddered. She knew she did not have the strength to carry so many passengers safely through with the wind and the rain.
The tired man awakened. He stood up, stretched out his hand, and said, "Peace." The storm stopped as quickly as it had begun.
And suddenly the second tree knew he was carrying the king of heaven and earth.

One Friday morning, the third tree was startled when her beams were yanked from the forgotten woodpile. She flinched as she was carried through an angry jeering crowd. She shuddered when soldiers nailed a man’s hands to her.
She felt ugly and harsh and cruel.
But on Sunday morning, when the sun rose and the earth tremble with joy beneath her, the third tree knew that God’s love had changed everything.
It had made the third tree strong.
And every time people thought of the third tree, they would think of God.
That was better than being the tallest tree in the world.

The next time you feel down because you didn’t get what you want, sit tight and be happy because God is thinking of something better to give you.
